Richter Family Law Group, P.C. is a Tennessee law firm headed by attorney Linley Richter.  Mr. Richter has practice law in Tennessee for more than 22 years in all major practice areas. In 2006, he began to devote his practice almost entirely to divorce and family law matters. Since beginning his practice in 1992, he has handled more than 2,000 cases including a number of divorce and family law cases. His extensive experience in all areas of the law makes him uniquely suited to handle just about any situation that arises in the practice of law.

Mr. Richter formed Richter Family Law Group, P.C. as a way to expand his practice throughout the entire state of Tennessee. Growing up in Nashville and graduating from Middle Tennessee State University, Mr. Richter spent the first half of his life in middle Tennessee before moving to Memphis and attending the University of Memphis Law School.

Mr. Richter handled his first military divorce case in 1995 and soon began to realize how few attorneys really understand the complexities involved in handling a military divorce.  In 2013, Mr. Richter  was chosen to lead the military divorce portion of a seminar for attorneys entitled Advanced Family Law sponsored by the prestigious National Business Institute.

Mr. Richter is a member of the Tennessee Bar Association's Family Law section and is the past president of the Solo/Small Firm section of the Memphis Bar Association.  While in law school, he served on the Moot Court Board and was given the award for best legal brief.  He has handled a number of appellate court cases including one to the United States Court of Appeals for the Sixth Circuit.  He is licensed to practice before all courts in the state of Tennessee as well as the United States District Court for the Western District of Tennessee and the Sixth Circuit Court of Appeals.
